How a payment completes
Create
Your server creates a payment and gets back a payment screen URL.
Pay
The user follows the payment screen and submits the payment.
Confirm
MaruPay confirms receipt and matches it to exactly one request.
Notify
A signed payment.completed event goes to your webhook endpoint.
Record
The payment gets its own settlement record.
Answer support tickets with a record, not a guess.
A payment completes only when receipt is confirmed and it matches exactly one payment request. Anything else lands in a review queue with the evidence attached, so no order is credited on a hunch and your support team can see what happened.

- A user pressing “I've paid” doesn't complete a payment. Confirmed receipt does.

- No matching request, or more than one? The receipt is held for an operator.
- Signed, retried webhooks
- HMAC-SHA256 signatures, retries on a backoff and redelivery from the console.
- Idempotent requests
- The same Idempotency-Key replays the original response instead of creating a second payment.

Online services outside Korea that already take payments and want to give Korean users a gift voucher option. MaruPay is a business-to-business service; your users only see the payment screen.
Is MaruPay a voucher store or a voucher exchange?
No. We don't sell vouchers, and users don't trade them with each other. MaruPay connects gift voucher payments to your existing purchase flow and handles the payment and settlement side.
When is a payment marked complete?
Only when receipt is confirmed and it matches exactly one payment request. Anything ambiguous goes to review rather than completing automatically.
What if our webhook endpoint is down?
Deliveries are retried on a backoff, and you can redeliver any event from the console. Every event has a stable ID, so apply each event once on your side.
